Sun & Fun in Denver

March 26, 2021

Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado at sunset

The seasons are changing again and we’re stepping into one of the most sought-after times to travel to Denver! With about 300 days of sunshine in a year and warm temperatures throughout the spring and summer in Colorado, it’s no wonder why many tourists choose to wait to reserve their stay for this time of year.

And 2021’s sunny season is sure to be better than last year, with now having local restaurants, boutiques, and bars open again in the heart of downtown Denver! Travelers should be prepared to wear a mask in all public places within Denver and Colorado, as a whole, due to the COVID regulations and mandates, but please note that it’s easier than ever now to get out and safely visit local attractions.

Wanting safe ideas on things to do in the sun? We’ve got you covered! Browse some of our most popular ideas below, or feel free to ask a Front Desk Agent for a more personalized recommendation during your stay:

  • Rent bikes and cruise along the Cherry Creek or Platte River Trail!
  • See a concert or show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater, about 20 minutes outside of Denver in stunning Morrison, Colorado. The venue will safely be returning for the season after a year off due to COVID, and we can’t hold our excitement in. Check out the lineup, or simply stop into the attraction during a free daytime visit to stand on the stage where many of the top musical legends and entertainment icons have performed. Visit Red Rocks Website.
  • Denver knows beer. As in, Denverites LIVE FOR their craft sips from a sunny patio. Experience the city like a local and partake in a walking brewery hop to some of our favorite neighborhood spots:
    Denver Beer Co.
    Terminal Bar
    Wynkoop Brewery
    Epic Brewery
  • Grab a bite or cocktail from one of the several patios at Denver Union Station or Dairy Block micro-district, all in walking distance from Hotel Indigo!
