A Christmas of Elevated Spirits

November 28, 2016

Denver’s mighty elevation is only matched by the city’s outpouring of Christmas spirit.

December 2nd and 3rd

The 9News Parade of Light is a Colorado holiday tradition. Giant floats escorted by marching bands take you along a joyous two-mile route through Downtown Denver. Wear warm layers and try to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus.

Through December 23rd

Craftspeople, bakers, and artisans of every ilk come to Colorado for the once-a-year Denver Christkindl Market. Skyline Park is transformed into an authentic European-style Christmas village, complete with huts made of wood and a beer hall.

Through December 24th

Colorado Ballet’s yearly production of The Nutcracker is a holiday staple. Lavish scenery and Tchaikovsky’s recognizable score join together with a company of thirty principle dancers and more than three hundred of unique costumes.

Through January 1st

Denver’s Botanic Gardens has trimmed and pruned all year for the extravagant Blossoms of Light, a month of family-friendly illumination. Sip hot chocolate, feast on holiday treats as you make your way through O’Fallon Perennial Walk.
