A Green Bash That Heralds Spring

March 05, 2017

Denver’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is a noisy bash suitable for all ages. Come cheer for Irish culture and give spring a warm welcome. Many thousands of spectators begin to line up along Blake Street between 6 and 9 o’clock in the morning.

Runnin’ of the Green is a family-family foot race that Denver likes to roll in with rest of the Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations. Registration fees benefit Volunteers of America and the event includes an optional 7K athletic race and 2-mile run/walk. Everybody meets outside Union Station in Denver’s historic Lower Downtown.

March 17th @ 7:00 am

Head down to the Blake Street Tavern for Kegs and Eggs, a fun addition to day’s merriment. Music fans gather in droves for this early morning festival of rock performances, plenty of Jameson whiskey, and a meadow of green beer stretching as far as the eye can see.
